Drive in high always. Low is for low speed 4 wheel off road use only.What is the best gear to drive a land rover discovery in on local roads?
keep in third on local roads at least. downhill be in neutral to save your clutch and just use your brakes. Lower gears means more RPMs which means more ware and tare and less gas mileage. try not to downshift unless you have to stop.
