96 Land Rover Discovery What is this part called??????????????

I have a 96 Land Rover Discovery, and there is a part on the inside that is ripped and I don't even know if it is called anything. It is simply a piece of plastic that goes around the shifter thing on the shift plate.96 Land Rover Discovery What is this part called??????????????
It sounds like your talking about the shifter boot but those are made of rubber not plastic.They are held down by a retaining ring.

edit..Maybe you are talking about the retaining ring that fits over the shifter shaft the the boot goes around it.I don't know it's name either but it's like a seal between the boot and the shaft.Sorry i can't can't help.96 Land Rover Discovery What is this part called??????????????
