in some cases really shady tire shops that also do light mechanical repairs will sabotage things like sensors to trigger a check engine light in the hope that you will come back and pay them to fix
a lot of tire shops that do other repairs also pay their guys a certain percentage of parts and labour so u can c why thats an issueCheck Engine light on after new tires installed on '97 land rover discovery?
The only light that might be effected by chaining of the tires would the tire pressure monitor light, if so equipped if they damaged one of the sensors on the wheel. Were the tires the same size as the originals??
