Has been possible to land a rover on Mercury (like "Opportunity") and take pictures of its surface?

I mean i've seen pictures of Mar's surface but not of Mercury's. And Mercury is not really that far away from Earth and doesn't have an atmosphere like Venus. The only obstacle i could think about landing a rover on Mercury is the intense heat of the SunHas been possible to land a rover on Mercury (like "Opportunity") and take pictures of its surface?
Two probes have been sent to Mercury and a third is planned, but so far no rovers have been sent there. If you're looking for images of Mercury, NASA's Messenger probe took plenty of them. Mercury looks somewhat like the Moon; the surface has a lot of craters and it's not very colorful.
Probably not. it's very VERY hot on mercury and what ever we send may very well melt. I'm just guessing of course.Has been possible to land a rover on Mercury (like "Opportunity") and take pictures of its surface?
Doubtful. Daytime temperatures are 400 degrees C (800+ degrees F).

Solar radiation would probably make communication difficult if not impossible as well.
Yes. My son constructed a rover out of our orange juice carton and a kodak disposable for his 3rd grade science project. He came in 2 be only because he forgot to switch the flash on so the pictures were dark and undistinguishible. A shame really.Has been possible to land a rover on Mercury (like "Opportunity") and take pictures of its surface?
We *could* do such a thing, but the surface of Mercury is very hot on the light side and very cold on the dark side, because it's tidally locked to the Sun (just as the Moon is tidally locked to the Earth). So we could land a specially-designed rover, but there isn't a pressing need and it would be pretty expensive. How many people are especially interested in Mercury?
There's a satellite orbiting Mercury right now called MESSENGER and it has been sending pictures of the surface back for months.

im sure we could build sumthing to withstand the extreme heat. but the whole point of us traveling to mars is to see if there is life there and to see if we can make mars into a planet more like earth on mercury there is nothing we can learn. we could get just as much as when we traveled to the moon.
