Why is Land Rover Jaguar losing a million quid a day,When Land Rover?

Is producing 400 vehicles, per 24 hours at an average cost of 45 thousand pounds each.

is that 400 times 45 thousand per day.lol.

or is it time to get rid of the chef, cooking the books. Why is Land Rover Jaguar losing a million quid a day,When Land Rover?
You did not mention how much it cost to produce and sell those 400 vehicles. If it cost 50,000 pounds to make each one, then we have a problemWhy is Land Rover Jaguar losing a million quid a day,When Land Rover?
because we all know the jag is a dressed up ford mondeo and the new land rovers are rubbishWhy is Land Rover Jaguar losing a million quid a day,When Land Rover?
Because they can't get people to the dealer. They have had the same problem for many years now, and without the charity of BMW and Ford, they would be dead already.

The problem is bad marketing.

Just speaking of America, 80 percent of people out there have little to no knowledge of the brand at all. A further 10 percent believes the cars to be of poor quality, and this 10 percent is quite vocal. Still another 5 percent, with some crossover into the rest, believe them to be made by Toyota.

The remaining 5 percent of the US population represents everyone Land Rover could sell a car to in a perfect world.

That 5 percent needs to be more like 10 percent, or even 15-20, in order for Land Rover to survive comfortably. Either that, or they have to raise their prices, which wouldn't be good for them.

How do you increase your customer base when the reducing factor is ignorance?

Good, solid marketing.

Lend Rover doesn't have any.

If we applied the same situation to, say, Ford, here would be our situation:

Most people would believe that Ford and Taurus were different manufacturers. Most people would believe that Ford was Japanese and Taurus was German. Quite a few people, who couldn't even point one out in a parking lot, would believe they were total junk. A good percentage of the remaining people would have no idea Ford even exists. When questioned about them, the people would reply: Hey, I saw those on the history channel. Aren't those the cars that only come in black?

That's the problem.

Land Rover has the worst marketing in the entire automotive industry. Adult diaper companies have better marketing than Land Rover.

It is an easy problem to fix, but nobody seems willing to admit it is a problem. Once they have a customer in the dealership, they have no trouble selling them a vehicle.

The trouble is, they can't even get people to realize there is a dealership to go to, let alone get them in there.

Jaguar has the same issues.

There have been good campaigns, but they were far too short-lived to help either company.

Marketing is the answer to all their troubles. You can build all the cars you want, but until you can sell them, it's pointless.
