Would you buy a land rover discovery se7 or a toyota 4runner used?

Which one?Would you buy a land rover discovery se7 or a toyota 4runner used?
I would buy the Toyota.

The Land Rover costs much more for repair and maintenance.
Discoverys are crap. My father has owned two and neither of them are any good. Always something breaking down on them. 4 Runners are 1,000 times better. I remember a popular car magazine calling the Land Rover Discovery "The truck that will get you there, but might not get you back." The prices on the Discovery are attractive but there's a reason for their super low resale value. They aren't reliable and their parts are very expensive. Have you driven it yet? It feels like the front seats are too close to the doors. The 4 Runner is kinda narrow too but at least it has enough shoulder room for anyone. Still, the 4 Runner would get my nod.

Update: In response to another answer, the Discovery should be more luxurious. It was costing $50,000 when the 4 Runner was $30,000. However, look at the prices now. Look at what 2003 models are selling for. The 4 Runner only costs 2-3000 less to buy. That's a big difference from $20,000 brand new. Also, let's not forget the suspension systems that fail on the air suspensions on Land Rovers that tend to fail at an alarming rate. $8,000 to repair?Would you buy a land rover discovery se7 or a toyota 4runner used?
Unless you have a large amount of money to spend on up keep buy the Toyota. Rovers are nice cars but figure to spend about $4000 a year in up keep. I work in the car world and many of my Rover customers call them the $2000 cars, because every time one comes in it needs $2000 in work.
I would always get a Disco anytime. I have a well maintained Disco and I drove the 4runner for sometime as well. The Disco is much more fully equipped and much more capable than the runner and does not have that certain" cheapness" that the runner has.Would you buy a land rover discovery se7 or a toyota 4runner used?
it realy depends at what suits you. do you prefer a lux car or a domestic one. but to answer your question i would get the 4 runner.
