What is the purpose of a Land Rover Sport?

With stock low-profile tires, is this an off-road vehicle? Is it a sports car? Is it just an overpriced/overblown minivan? What is the purpose of a Land Rover Sport?
There are two types of [edit:] "Land Rover" drivers:

1. Farmers using the actual and original purpose of the vehicle (i.e. low traction and varied surface angles).

2. Those that must show their wealth and who's off-road experiences only extend to the pavement outside Harrods :-)

So Land Rover are just capitalising on this, by making it a little more usable on it's modern home turf. What is the purpose of a Land Rover Sport?
Where I live, its used by soccer moms to drive to Starbucks. What is the purpose of a Land Rover Sport?
It's just a normal Range Rover really. Just sportier, handles better. It's for people who aren't going to use there normal Range Rovers that much off road. It's actually cheaper than most of it's rivals and also better than most of them. And it certainly isn't a minivan! It can handle the off road stuff too. It's a very good car.
With low-profile tires, how can it possibly be an off-road vehicle? Yes, its made by one of the best off-road vehicle companies, but this is their approach to sport SUVs, not minivans. Ever hear of the Porsche Cayenne or Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8? These are all sport SUVs for people who live in the city/suburbs, who want an SUV for the better look, more room, and horsepower, along with 4wd for those snowy winters. In the other seasons, these are beautifully engineered vehicles that perform quite well on the track, And no these cars are not overpriced, especially the Range Rover Sport. It is an exquisite vehicle, and one test drive will convince you that it is priced right.
