Does Top Gear have some sort of agreement with Land Rover?

They always seem to slate the other 4x4's and praise the Land Rovers...even the BMW's who once owned Land Rover!Does Top Gear have some sort of agreement with Land Rover?
It's simple, they are the best, and if you actually LISTEN, they do explain why! Proper ground-clearances, proper 4WD systems, suspension and tyres designed for, and proven if off-road use - not big Tonka-Toys like the absurd BMW X5 which gets its' wheels spinning on damp grass!

Land-Rovers and Range-Rovers were made to do the dirty-work, and you can ALSO use them on the road - all these other "soft-roaders" are styled like them, but meant for the road, not the dirty-work.
I think its something to do with British Pride..... just an observation though.Does Top Gear have some sort of agreement with Land Rover?
They recognize that LR's are better than most other 4x4s and they're biased b/c LR's are British.
It's probably more to do with the fact that Land Rovers have excellent off road ability, and are the bench mark for other marques.

NOTE I said off road ability. I mentioned nothing about reliability or anything else.Does Top Gear have some sort of agreement with Land Rover?
No its illegal for the BBC to favour a particular product or have such an agreement with a company. I guess alot of them are similar prices so they cant really recommend another product if the land rover is better. I think they liked that Porche one.
Because Land Rover produce real 4x4's you cant go off road in an X5, they are built for motorways. Otherwise your only option is say a Land cruiser, but they are not as luxurious as a Range Rover or a Discovery
It's just that Jezza is obsessed with them... along with many other things...
i think it might have something to do with they all had one at some point, on the bolivian car challenge in the latest series jeremy bought a classic range rover, and he's had numerous, james has had a classic range rover and richard has a modified land rover defender.
No - they do not have any agreement with Land Rover, they just recognise that our vehicles are the most capable out there! They are entirely fit for the purpose they are built to be - luxurious off-road capable vehicles, or in the case of the Defender a work-horse.

You don't see the police/military/fire brigade/red cross using many other manufacturers vehicles do you..... I wonder if we have an agreement with them..... actually we do!
I've got a Disco and a Range Rover, live on the edge of the Peak District and currently enjoying the worse snow for 30 yrs. Neither vehicle has lost it's footing for a second.

I'm with Top Gear, Landy's are Truly stunning!
land rover is english thats why even tho land rovers are ****
Land Rovers are Great off roaders built by the people, for the people.

the other week, Jeremy Clarkson turned up at the studio, with a tuned landie, with booze trays %26amp; gun racks in the boot, James arrived in his panda, With single bottle of Scotch in his boot.

yes BMW did 1nce own LR, not many know that, they were also owned by ford, they are now owned either by tata or Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaguaaaarr. Tata owns jaguar.

so, you may be right.
